style=\"text-align: left;\">Technology for monitoring air pollutants has become less expensive and more widely available.\u00a0 This is an inexpensive air monitor, some models can send updates and warning to a device.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Water Pollution<\/h3>\n<p>We have just taken a look at <a href=\"https:\/\/vividscience.org\/index.php\/campus-envirobio\/change\/long-term\/#\">freshwater<\/a> ecosystems, including streams, lakes, and wetlands.\u00a0 Many of these bodies of water are impacted by pollution.\u00a0 Water pollution comes in different forms, but all are challenging to testing as smaller quantities can be measured and equipment is calibrated routinely.\u00a0 However, home water test kits may indicate issues that need further analysis.<\/p> <h6>\u00a0<\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Aquatic bioindicators are species that are present in either clear or contaminated bodies of water.\u00a0 The presence (or absence) or certain species gives us an frequently field this question at the coast.\u00a0 Is the foam and smelly stuff pollution?\u00a0 In the protected bays, it is usually decaying algae.\u00a0 In the tide pools, it is sometimes massive amounts of sperm and eggs produced by the animals that stay clinging on the rocks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Soil Pollution<\/h3>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/biotas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/shutterstock_1103873225.jpg\" width=\"2000\" height=\"350\" title=\"8a1 Pollution\" alt=\"8a1 Pollution\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Identifying soil pollution is not always as easy as in this photo.\u00a0 In addition to large waste, smaller contaminants can move into the soil.\u00a0 Some pollutants like cadmium, chromium, and lead can be harmful to human and wildlife health at low concentrations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Home soil tests are typically used to determine whether garden soil has enough nutrients for optimal plant growth.\u00a0 You can also purchase kits to test for possible contaminants, although like water testing, it would be important to verify results through a laboratory.\u00a0 Some future homeowners include soil testing, along with water testing, during the inspection of a property that is for sale.<\/p>\n[embed]https:\/\/vimeo.com\/476979778[\/embed]\n<img This effectively messages the extent of pollution washing on shore.<\/h6>\n<img
